THIRD YEAR
Training plan 3rd year Courses will be 'cross-curricular' and PhD will be able to attend seminars outside the curriculum under the guidance of relevant mentors. Procedure for admission to final examination Submission of final research project paper, favourable opinion of external examiners, approval by the Board of Lecturers. In particular, annual review (by 30 October) by the Board of Lecturers of the completion of each doctoral student's research project. The final thesis will be examined by external examiners who will submit their judgement and any recommendations to the Board of Lecturers. Once the external examiners and the Doctoral Programme Committee have given their approval, the final examination dates will be set in accordance with the regulations in force. Final exam procedure Public discussion of the thesis in the presence of the faculty and the appointed final examination committee PhD students' research presentation, exchange and discussion sessions Six-monthly meetings with the participation of teachers Training activities, not included in the above-mentioned scheduled teaching activities, by foreign lecturers and/or Italian and foreign scientists and experts from research organizations, companies, and cultural and social institutions. Specific meetings with leading figures in the field of PhD topics will be organised during the academic year, and attendance will be compulsory.
More space will be given to thesis preparation activities.
PhD students are required to attend at least 6 seminars.
The courses and seminar activities are common to both curricula and will take place from May 2024 to 31 October 2024. The dates will be published on the PhD website.

Teaching activities will take place in presence. The planned seminars will also be included in the cloud platform reserved for doctoral students, which will guarantee their remote access to enable doctoral students who, for health reasons, are unable to participate in face-to-face teaching activities to do so.
