Seminars are scheduled on an annual basis and involve the invitation of expert teachers. The titles are to be defined based on the availability of the speakers.
The "connected activities" and the "activities chosen by the PhD student" are agreed from time to time (participation in congresses, courses, external seminars, short internships).


Method of choosing the subject of the thesis

PhD students, in agreement with the tutor, carry out project management and carry out on the chosen topic: bibliographic research, evaluation of the different sample preparation systems, possible recruitment of funds and resources and a preliminary statistical analysis for the significance of the samples.

Admission to the second year

Presentation of the activity carried out by the PhD student to the Academic Board and relative discussion, evaluation of unpublished publications or manuscripts.

Method of preparation of the thesis

In this year, at level 1, the PhD students will carry out the study of materials and methods through the selection of samples, planning and execution of the research

Admission to the third year

Presentation of the activity carried out by the PhD student to the Academic Board and relative discussion, evaluation of unpublished publications or manuscripts.

Method of admission to the final examination

Presentation of the thesis to external evaluators. Verification by the Academic Board of the achievement of the objectives set by the Research.

Final examination

Candidates, subjected to admission to the final exam by the Academic Board, with the admission procedures mentioned above, undergo the evaluation for the awarding of the PhD title in front of a Commission of experts appointed by the Rector.
