Lia Selvi is a PhD candidate in Communication. She holds a Master’s degree in Advertising, Digital Communication and Business Creativity from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where she completed a thesis on the representation of the body and identity in contemporary media cultures (supervisor: Vanni Codeluppi), graduating with highest honors (110/110 cum laude). She previously obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Contemporary Media for the Creative Industries at the University of Parma, also graduating with highest honors (110/110 cum laude). Her research interests lie in the sociology of communication and media studies, with particular attention to representations of the body, processes of identity construction, and the symbolic and aesthetic dynamics of contemporary digital cultures.
