Research: Redefining Justice for Post-War Ukraine: A Transdisciplinary Approach to Healing and Accountability

Doctoral candidate in Peace Studies, established under the initiative of RUniPace, the Network of Italian Universities for Peace (CRUI Network), in Curriculum 2: "Identity, Memories, Religions, and Peace." A graduate in International Law with a Master of Laws (LL.M.), Halyna brings over 12 years of professional experience in program and project management within the fields of international development and gender equality. She has worked on issues related to human rights, the rule of law, peacebuilding, mediation, monitoring and evaluation, and research in volatile and complex contexts, across various EU countries and all Eastern Partnership nations. Since 2022, Halyna has been residing in Rome, Italy, where she continues to work in the international development sector with a primary focus on Russia's war against Ukraine and issues related to international humanitarian and criminal law. In 2024, she completed the advanced training course "Women, Peace, and Mediation" at Sapienza University. Alongside her national doctorate in Peace Studies, Halyna is furthering her specialization in mediation, with a particular focus on peace mediation and conflict resolution.
