Associate Professor in Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes at the Department of Communication and Social Research, he deals with Sociology of Journalism and Political Communication.
He is the scientific director of the Political Mediamonitoring Observatory and the Eurispes TG Observatory. He has coordinated research on political communication on television, with particular attention to the talk show format, during the electoral campaigns for political, administrative and European elections in recent years.
He has conducted studies and researches on the communication professions, with particular attention to those of journalism, on the interaction between media and public space, on the evolution of broadcast journalism and its perception by the public, also from a second-screen perspective.
He is the editorial coordinator of the journal Comunicazionepuntodoc, designed and edited by the community of PhD students, PhDs, researchers and teachers of the Mediatrends Doctoral School of the Sapienza University of Rome, of which he is the Secretary.
