Vincenzo Del Bello is a doctoral researcher in Peace Studies, focusing on the cultural and historical intersections between warfare, aviation, and human experience in the 20th century. He holds a Master’s Degree in Modern Philology (2025) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Literature (2021), both from the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara. His academic background bridges contemporary European history, modern literary studies, and the anthropology of conflict.
His current research project — “War and Peace: The Flying Machine and the Armed Forces as a Bridge between Peoples and Cultures (1923–1999)” — explores the symbolic and material roles of flight and military institutions as instruments of dialogue across nations and cultures.
His recent publication, “The Second World War in Lanciano: Graffiti and Voices of an Exile” (Rivista Abruzzese, no. 4, 2025), reflects his broader interest in memory, identity, and the human traces left by conflict.
