Titolo della tesi: Core–Periphery Dynamics and Industrial policy in Europe: From Theoretical Roots to the Impact of the Recovery and Resilience Facility

This thesis analyses the persistence of core–periphery dynamics in Europe and the renewed role of industrial policy in addressing structural divergence. It traces the historical roots of productive and technological asymmetries and applies this framework to the European context. Using a multi-country input–output model, the study assesses the impact of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), showing that while it has boosted value added and employment, disparities remain. The RRF thus represents a turning point towards a mission-oriented European industrial policy, capable of fostering cohesion, resilience, and sustainable growth.
