Stefan Schorn studied Classical Philology and Ancient History at the universities of Bamberg (Germany) and Rome 'La Sapienza' (Italy). He received his PhD in Bamberg in 2002 with an edition, including a commentary, of the fragments of the Peripatetic biographer Satyrus of Callatis. After his PhD he worked as a research assistant at the universities of Bamberg and Würzburg. In 2007 he was awarded a Feodor-Lynen-Fellowship by the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation and spent one year at Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ). From 2009 to 2015 he was Assistant Professor of Ancient History at the KU Leuven, since 2015 he has been Associate Professor.
