Silvia Toscano is associate professor of Slavic studies at Sapienza, University of Rome. Classical philologist by training, she currently teaches Russian language and Slavic philology. She is coordinator of the "Russian Linguistics and Culture" curriculum of the Doctorate in "Documentary, Geographical, Linguistic and Literary Sciences". His research interests range between sources and the Cyril-Methodian tradition, medieval Slavic linguistic thought, ancient Russian literature, the history of Slavic philology, with forays into the field of Russian and Slovak poetic translation and modern linguistics. He has to his credit the monograph Ján Hollý (1785-1849), singer of Cyril and Methodius (Rome 2021); the editing of the volumes La Russia dreamed (Rome 2015); Rome and the world, Rim i Mir (Rome 2019); Prismi 1. Quaderni del Dottorato (Milan 2022) and Prismi 2. Quaderni del Dottorato (Milan 2023) as well as numerous articles in Italian and international journals.
