Project Title: “Multi-omic characterization of biomarkers mediating clinical response and acquired resistance to immune checkpoint blockade in melanoma.”
Project Description: This project aims to define a multidimensional predictive profile for melanoma patients undergoing treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors. Through an integrated approach, the analysis focuses on the interplay between the skin microbiome, the tumor genomic landscape, and the systemic immune compartment, including the study of circulating cytokine patterns and immune cell subpopulations. The primary objective is to identify early biomarkers of therapeutic response and resistance, as well as susceptibility to immune-related adverse events, thereby optimizing personalized treatment strategies and patient safety.
