Associate Professor of Romance Philology with tenure at the University of Molise; former Researcher at the Universities of Milan and Santiago de Compostela.
I work on medieval Romance poetry, with special focus on the Galician-Portuguese and Occitan traditions. He has published several critical editions of Galician-Portuguese troubadours and contributions on philological, literary, rhetorical, metrical and linguistic issues.
I am the author of 8 monographs and numerous journal articles and volume contributions.
I have been a visiting fellow at the universities of Barcelona, Santiago de Compostela, Alicante and Galway. CLS-INFRA Fellow at the University of Galway (2023).
I am member of the Scientific Committee of the Corpus de Troubadours, at the Institut de Estudis Catalans. He is on the Board of the journals Carte Romanze, Cognitive Philology and Arquivo Galicia Medieval.
Responsible for the research units within the PRIN projects ‘Prosopographical Atlas of Medieval Romance Literatures’ (2020-2024) and ‘RETI. Rendering Texts and Images' (2021-2026). I have participated in several international research projects and is a member of the TeSAR research groups (Texts and Writings: Authorship and reception of written culture in the pre-modern West) of the University of Molise, MedioEva (inter-university centre) and international associations such as the Asociación Hispánica de Literatura Medieval (AHLM), Asociación Internacional Convivio para el Estudio de los Cancioneros y la Poesía de Cancionero, Société de Linguistique Romane, Sociedad de Estudios Medievales y Renacentistas (SEMYR).
Since 2024, I am member of the Executive Board of the Italian Society of Romance Philology (SIFR).
From 2020 to 2023, I have been elected as a representative of university researchers at the National University Council (CUN).
