Sara Baccanelli (Bergamo, 1997) obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Modern Literature in 2019 from the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, with a thesis in Early Modern Art History entitled “Lodovico Vedriani and Barthélemy Fenis in Memorie di molti Santi Martiri e Beati Modonesi.” In 2022, she graduated with honors (cum laude) from the same university, earning a Master’s degree in Visual Arts with a thesis in Iconography and Iconology entitled “The Pantheon Atestinum in Modena: Aquila plena plumis atque aetate,” focused on the study of the interior decorative program of the Ducal Church of Modena. Throughout her academic career, she has attended several advanced training courses in the history of costume and textile analysis, held in Venice and Prato. Since 2023, she has been enrolled in the Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Storico-Artistici (Postgraduate School of Historical and Artistic Heritage- 3rd level) at Sapienza University of Rome, where she is also a PhD candidate (XLI cycle) in Early Modern Art History with a doctoral scholarship.
