Research: Characterization and assessment of exposure to airborne microplastics, associated chemicals, and environmental pollutants in complex workplaces
I graduated in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2024 with top marks, presenting an experimental thesis entitled “Integrated approach for the determination of Moniliformin in corn flour by CE-UV, HPLC-UV, and HPLC-MS/MS”, carried out under the supervision of Prof. Francesca Buiarelli and Prof. Giulia Simonetti.
In 2025, I continued my research activity with a research fellowship at Policlinico Umberto I, in the Department of Experimental Medicine, focusing on studies related to metabolic diseases.
Currently, my PhD work is centered on the study of airborne microplastics, with particular attention to their characterization through spectroscopic techniques and to the analysis of plastic additives using chromatographic techniques.
