Research: Thematic and expressive parallel between the works of the painter Giulio Aristide Sartorio and the poems of Gabriele d'Annunzio
Having graduated in classical studies, I achieved a Bachelor's degree in Italian Literary Text Sciences at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, focusing my final dissertation on the visual sources of Gabriele d'Annunzio's "Il fuoco." After that, I gained valuable experience working at the Archive and Library of the Venice Biennale. Subsequently, I pursued a Master's degree in Art History and Conservation of Artistic Heritage, exploring the relationship between the writings and paintings of Giulio Aristide Sartorio, supervised by Prof. Marinelli.
While concurrently teaching Italian, Latin, and Art History at a high school, I delved into a comprehensive study of Symbolism in Italy and the intricate dynamics of the text-image relationship.
This exploration led to the publication of an article on Giulio Aristide Sartorio's role as an art critic, featured in «Aldèbaran» VI. Since 2022, I have been pursuing my Ph.D. in Italian Studies at Aix-Marseille University. My current research project focuses on the human and artistic connection between d'Annunzio and Sartorio and is being conducted in collaboration with La Sapienza University of Rome, under the joint supervision of Prof. Stefano Magni and Prof. Maria Chiara Piva.
