Interessi scientifici attuali
Indagine comportamentale e/o neurofisiologica delle funzioni esecutive e del controllo cognitivo, e delle loro modulazioni da parte di diversi fattori. Indago come il controllo cognitivo operi in relazione ad altre funzioni cognitive (come l'elaborazione del reward e l'attenzione spaziale) nell’uomo. Gli obiettivi della ricerca sono: descrivere e modellare l'architettura funzionale di questi processi; definire compiti comportamentali per indagare come questi processi vengano modificati in specifici disturbi psichiatrici e neurologici, in collaborazione con altri ricercatori; indagare i correlati neuronali di questi processi registrando attività neurali da NHP e da pazienti neurochirurgici, in collaborazione con altri ricercatori.
