- Pharmacogenetics / Pharmacogenomics – genetic determinants of drug response and toxicity. 

- Personalized Medicine – clinical implementation of genomic biomarkers. 

- Drug Safety – mechanistic and clinical studies on adverse drug reactions, especially in cardiovascular disease.

- Clinical and pharmacoepidemiological studies on ADRs. 

- Genetic association studies and development of pharmacogenetic panels. 

- Integration of clinical and genomic data into risk prediction tools.

1. Precision Medicine and Pharmacogenetics

   - Discovery of genetic variants affecting drug efficacy and toxicity. 

   - Development of clinical decision tools for genotype-guided therapy. 

 

2. Drug Safety and Adverse Reactions

   - Mechanistic and translational studies on serious ADRs. 

   - Strategies to reduce ADR-related morbidity, mortality and healthcare costs. 

 

3. Data Integration and Implementation Science

   - Integration of clinical, genomic and outcome data into guidelines and health‑system pathways. 

 

 

- Extensive collaborations with UK and international centres in clinical pharmacology and precision medicine. 

 

- Leadership in clinical pharmacogenetic studies and implementation trials in real‑world healthcare settings. 

 

- Extensive publication record in clinical pharmacology, pharmacogenetics and precision medicine, with multiple international awards (EACPT Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 and others).
