Research: Cures or guns? An analysis of the potential trade-off between military spending and public health expenditure in Italy
Currently, I am a PhD student in Peace Studies - Peace Economy at the University of Rome, La Sapienza. I hold a bachelor's degree in Political Science - International Relations (University of Pisa), a master's of arts degree in International Relations - African and Asian Studies (University of Pavia), and a master's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from HIgh School of Economics and International Relations (ASERI) at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Milan).
I focus my analysis on the impact of defence public expenditure on society and the economy. I am a research collaborator at the International Research Institute Archivio Disarmo (IRIAD), where I have worked on arms exports and imports, disarmament policies, and their socio-economic impact.
I am the author of several publications and participated in the Presa Diretta episode (“La guerra totale”, RAI 3) with an investigation into Italian exports and imports to Israel during the Gaza War. I have participated as a speaker at various conferences and seminars on peace, rearmament, and defence policies. My studies focus on the arms trade and the production of cluster bombs and anti-personnel mines.
