Martina Caslini is a PhD student in Peace Studies at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. She is an alumna of the Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law (summa cum laude) at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, holding also an LLM in Law with the highest distinction from the Bicocca University of Milan.
Her research interests include transitional justice, international human rights law and mechanisms, as well as interdisciplinary strategies for the prevention of collective violence.
She has worked as a Project and Training Assistant at the Geneva Human Rights Platform and completed an internship at the International Center for Transitional Justice. She has also participated in international study, research, training and volunteer programs with numerous organizations in Italy, Switzerland, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, India and Russia. In June 2025, she became a qualified lawyer (Abilitazione all'Esercizio della Professione Forense) by passing the bar exam at the Court of Appeal of Milan.
Martina has been actively involved in the European Law Students' Association for years, and has been the recipient of several national prizes.
