Thesis title: PROJECT 1: Novel additional genomic lesions to predict outcome in adult B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia without recurrent fusion transcripts (B-NEG ALL) PROJECT 2: Prognostic implication of additional lesions in adult BCR-ABL1 positive ALL cases enrolled in GIMEMA LAL2116 D-ALBA protocol. PROJECT 3: Clinical features and prognostic implications of adult B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) with t(1;19)(q23;p13)/TCF3-PBX1: a retrospective study of GIMEMA experience

Three different B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) subtypes are discussed in this thesis. The first project refers to B-ALL without recurrent fusion transcripts and the aim was to develop a biological prognostic score to refine the risk stratification of this large B-ALL subgroup. The second project is about BCR::ABL1 positive ALL cases enrolled in GIMEMA LAL2116 protocol. In this cohort, we analyze the correlation between the most frequent copy number aberrations and outcome. Finally, the third project concerns LAL-B with TCF3-PBX1 transcript. We retrospectively studied TCF3-PBX1 cases enrolled in different GIMEMA protocols for more than 20 years. We describe the clinical features and the outcome of this B-ALL subtype compare with data known in the literature.
