Titolo della tesi: ORGANIZZAZIONI SINDACALI E RAPPRESENTANZA DEL LAVORO SU PIATTAFORME DIGITALI
The research intends to investigate the representation strategies of the three main Italian trade unions, CGIL, CISL and UIL to represent platform-based labour in the food&grocery delivery sector. To do this, the reference context is first reconstructed, starting from the implications of digitisation, passing through the definitions and characteristics of work on digital platforms, up to the presentation of data that measure the phenomenon in Italy. To enrich the context information, both the profile of the typical worker in the food&grocery delivery sector and the request for representation elaborated by this group of workers were reconstructed. Subsequently, we outlined the theoretical premises useful for interpreting the trade union activities observed at an empirical level. Specifically, we first reconstructed the organisational characteristics of trade unions and then referred to the theories concerning the strategic action of trade unionism. The results show some trends relating to strategic choices to represent workers in the food & grocery delivery sector, which have been interpreted following the theoretical approach.
