Research: Security and resilience of the European Union’s space infrastructures: the role of the EU Agency for the Space Programme

Since November 2022, she has been a Ph.D. Candidate in the International Order and Human Rights curriculum (SSD IUS/13) of the Ph.D. Programme in Public, Comparative and International Law at the Department of Political Science, Sapienza University of Rome (XXXVIII Cycle). She collaborates with the academic Chairs and is expert in the subject (“Cultore della materia”) in Space Law, International Law, and International Human Rights Law.

She participates in the research activities of the following projects: OSL – Outer Space Law for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development Project, carried out in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency (ASI); “Francesca Tardioli” International Award for Best Practice in the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325(2000), co-funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI); medium-scale University research project “BIRD – Best Practices for the Implementation of the UN Convention against Racial Discrimination”.

She has contributed to research activities within the Research Agreement on the Law of Outer Space Activities between the Department of Political Science at Sapienza and Fondazione Leonardo – Civiltà delle Macchine, and was awarded a senior research fellowship on the “Evolutions and perspectives of national, European and international regulations on space activities, with a focus on the most recent space applications” (September 2023 – June 2024). She also supported the research team of Work Package 6 – Legal and Policy Analysis and Strategic Policy Recommendations within the HABITABLE Project – Linking Climate Change Habitability and Social Tipping Points: Scenarios for Climate Migration, funded under the EU Horizon 2020 Programme.

She serves as Tutor for the Legal and Institutional Module (coordinator: Prof. Sergio Marchisio), within the Advanced Training Course in Space Institutions and Policies jointly organized by SIOI – Società Italiana per l’Organizzazione Internazionale and the ASI, as well as for the Master’s Programme in International Protection of Human Rights – “Maria Rita Saulle” at the Department of Political Science, Sapienza University of Rome.


Since May 2022, she has been collaborating with IARI - Istituto Analisi Relazioni Internazionali (Institute for the Analysis of International Relations) and in October she launched IARISPACE, the column dedicated to space. From January to December 2023, she served as a member of the Board of Directors (BoD) as “Curator of Columns”. In 2024, she became a lecturer at IARI.

In May 2021, she completed a Postgraduate Course in Intelligence and National Security at the University of Florence, discussing a thesis on “The ground segment as a critical infrastructure and its vulnerabilities - Case Study: the Fucino Space Centre”.

From April 2021 to April 2022, she worked as a researcher at ESPI - European Space Policy Institute, Vienna, with a research grant from the ASI-SIOI.

From November 2020 to April 2021, she was an intern at the Member States Relations and Partnerships Office of ESA - ESRIN.

In April 2021, she completed a Master's degree in Space Institutions and Policies at SIOI, discussing a thesis on space law (supervisor: Prof. Sergio Marchisio).

In March 2020, she graduated in Law (LMG-01) with a final grade of 110/110 at Sapienza University of Rome, discussing an experimental thesis in Economic Criminal Law on “Offences in prior arrangement and debt restructuring agreements” (supervisor: Prof. Marco Gambardella).

She has participated as a speaker in several national and international conferences, including International Astronautical Congresses (IACs) and UACES Annual Conferences. In October–November 2025, she delivered two seminars at UNINT – Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma. She is the author of scientific publications.
