I am pursuing a European PhD in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies (SESS.EuroPhD) at the Department of Economics and Law of Sapienza University of Rome. I hold a MSc in Development Economics at the University of Sussex (UK) and a Bachelor degree in Economics at Sapienza. I am an applied economist and my research interest lies in the fields of development economics and political economy. My current research explores colonial legacies on gender norms in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Sapienza, I worked as a consultant at the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) and at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS, UK). I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and I worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Sussex.
