Research: Essays in Development Economics
I am pursuing a European PhD in Socio-Economic and Statistical Studies (SESS.EuroPhD) at the Department of Economics and Law of Sapienza University of Rome. I hold a MSc in Development Economics at the University of Sussex (UK) and a Bachelor degree in Economics at Sapienza. I am an applied economist and my research interest lies in the fields of development economics and political economy. My current research explores colonial legacies on gender norms, individual preferences and economic decisions in Mozambique. I worked as a consultant at the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER), the Institute of Development Studies (IDS, UK), and the World Bank. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and I worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Sussex.
