I am Theodor Mareș, born on June 15, 1993, in Romania.
I was Head of the Medical Education Department at the Multidisciplinary Resident Doctors Society Romania between 01.02.2022 - 01.02.2024. In this role, I organize surgical and medical workshops to enhance the skills of resident doctors.
Since January 31, 2020, I have been working as a Plastic Surgery Resident Doctor at the Clinic Emergency Hospital Prof. Dr. Agrippa Ionescu in Bucharest, Romania. My duties here include the initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical status, performing history and physical examinations, developing treatment plans, assisting in surgeries, performing procedures, and ordering tests, examinations, and medications.
I am pursuing my PhD in a co-tutelle program between Sapienza Medical University, Rome, Italy, and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila, Bucharest, Romania. This opportunity allows me to explore and contribute to the field of medical science at an international level.
My educational background includes a fellowship in Clinical and Experimental Microsurgery under Prof. Fabio Santanelli di Pompeo at Sapienza Roma, and a Medical Doctor degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest, Romania. I started my educational journey at Alexandru Ioan Cuza Highschool, Bucharest, Romania, where I earned my Baccalaureate Degree.
In terms of digital proficiency, I am skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and various social media platforms. I pride myself on my teamwork-oriented approach, organizational and planning skills, decision-making capabilities, and my ability to listen and communicate effectively.
My mother tongue is Romanian, and I am proficient in English (C1), German (B1), and Italian (A2), according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
My academic journey is highlighted by contributions to presentations and publications on various medical subjects, including Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans, Myeloid Sarcoma with Megakaryocytic Differentiation, and Malignant Soft Tissue Tumors.
I have participated in numerous courses, conferences, and seminars related to plastic surgery and microsurgery, contributing to my professional development and networking within the medical community.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I have a keen interest in sports, including mountain biking, enduro motorcycling, tennis, swimming, and gym activities. My hobbies also extend to music, where I enjoy playing the guitar and piano. Additionally, I have an appreciation for fashion and art.
