Titolo della tesi: Earth Observations, cloud computing and machine learning in support of conservation efforts in Yemen
The thesis is an exploration of different remote sensing and cloud computing approaches to support ecosystem restoration and conservation efforts in Socotra, Yemen.
We first look at drivers of land degradation (paper 1) and changes is vegetation dynamics (paper 2). On paper 3, we propose an innovative approach to site selection criteria, creating a suitability map for Dracaena cinnabari conservation/restoration that is centered in the land users.
