Research: Probiotics and medicinal plants as "green" tools to protect bees and hive products from chemicals

Born in Rome on 13th August 1983, Marcello Messi obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Sciences and Technologies at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" on 30th May 2007, with a thesis entitled "Synthesis of new porphyrin-ferrocene derivatives" (supervisor Prof. Pietro Tagliatesta). At the University of Rome "La Sapienza" he obtained a Master’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry on 21st May 2021, with a thesis entitled "Comparison of chemometric strategies for multi-category discriminating analysis" (supervisor Prof. Federico Marini); since January 2022, he is a PON PhD student (green topic project) and, under the supervision of Dr. Maria Luisa Astolfi, he carries out research activities at the same university.
