(1999) Five-year degree in Architecture at ‘Sapienza’; (2004) PhD in Structural Engineering at ‘Sapienza’. (2008-2019) Assistant professor, (2019-) Associate professor in Structural Engineering; (2015-) Member of Working Group 1, Masonry constructions, for the revision of Eurocode 8, Earthquake-resistant constructions.

MAIN RESEARCH TOPICS
Experimentation, non-linear-dynamic modelling, code formulations of the out-of-plane response of masonry walls. Calibration of a mortar penetrometer. In situ ambient vibration measurements and corresponding numerical calibrations. Participation to blind tests by means of finite-discrete element modelling. Investigation about the origins of earthquake engineering in Italy. Post-earthquake surveys for the identification of effective interventions on historical and monumental constructions. Modelling of intervention techniques on vaults and timber roofs, as well as of timber, mixed and metal tie rods. Formulation of statistically-based vulnerability models of ordinary and monumental buildings.
