Lucia Concetta Vincelli (Termoli, 1997) is an architect and co-founder of the CALUMA collective.
As a PhD candidate in Environment and Landscape at La Sapienza University of Rome, her research focuses on the contemporary transformations of urban landscapes, with particular attention to the processes of demolition and privatisation of public space in Europe, and to the role of temporariness in shaping the city.
In 2022 she graduated with honours in Architecture c.u. with a Master Degree's Thesis in Restoration with the project “Vu jà-dé- il restauro dalle tracce all'opera in scena. L'ex Granaio, poi Cinema Adriatico di Termoli, ospita un Teatro di posa."-Professor Fiorani.
As co-founder of the art collective CALUMA, she studies alternative narratives for architecture, analysing human activities and the places that relate them, through audiovisual projects and performances, with installations (Molise Cinema 2024), with exhibitions (at MAXXI, 'The Street. Where the World is made', curated by Hou Hanru, 2018; and at the Venice Biennale-2021).
Her research continues through international experiences, including landscape and filmmaking workshops, research residencies (Nuovo Grand Tour at Domaine de Boisbuchet, Lessac, France – March 2024), and design competitions. Most recently, she was selected for a temporary pavilion promoted by Antepavilion in London with the project 'Future Archeology – anti-demolition pavilion', conceived and built together with James Lansbury through an open construction site involving local volunteers and residents.
