Research: Italian Foreign Policy and the Maastricht Treaty: 1989-1992
Lorenzo Vai is an Italian diplomat working at the Policy Planning and Historical Documentation Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. He is a PhD candidate in Political Studies at the La Sapienza University in Rome. Previously, he worked as researcher for the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) and the Center for Studies on Federalism. He was also research fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, and adjunct lecturer at the University of Turin. He holds a M.A. in EU International Relations and Diplomacy - College of Europe, and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the LUISS University in Rome. His interests of research focus on the history and institutions of the European integration process.
