CURRENT POSITION
PhD Candidate in Economics, Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Economics and Law
Supervisor: Mario Pianta (Scuola Normale Superiore, Florence)
My research aims to investigate - conceptually and empirically - the complex set of relationships
between technological change, innovation, quantity and quality of jobs and economic performance
in industries of advanced and emerging economies.

PREVIOUS POSITIONS
September-October 2019
Collaboration with Scuola Normale Superiore, Department of Political and Social Science, Florence
Collection and elaboration of data on digitalisation at firm and industry level. Construction of
appropriate indicators and integration with employment and economic databases.

May 2019
Collaboration with the University of Urbino Carlo Bo
Co-organisation of the 14th edition of the weeklong Advanced Course “Innovation, Growth and
International Production. Models and Data analysis”.

March-June 2019
Collaboration in the research project “The challenge of digitalisation for firms in emerging countries”,
coordinated by Professor Mario Pianta.
Data collection and empirical analysis of innovation and digital patterns in emerging countries
using World Bank Innovation and Enterprise surveys.

October 2016-March 2017
Traineeship at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Energy, Economic Analysis and
Financial Instruments Unit, Brussels (Belgium)
Contributed to the development of the new EC guidance for statistical treatment of Energy Performance Contracts, to reduce barriers to green investments. Provided support to the economic
modelling team. Worked closely with internal and external stakeholders (EIB, Member States, and
NGOs).

August 2016
EU Twinning Project, Beirut (Lebanon)
Supported Public Finance Management Reform in Lebanon. Prepared training program following
the development needs and trained eighty employees of the Lebanese Ministry of Finance.

March-September 2016
Traineeship at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Rome (Italy)
Under supervision drafted policy briefs in the area of public procurement, investment strategies and
accounting legislation. Monitored EU accounting legislative developments and prepared reports.
