Itzel Inti Maria Donati has a degree in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies from the University of Bologna, during the second cycle of studies she was interested in rural appraisal and agricultural economics. She carried out an internship at the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, in the field of management and protection of indigenous rural landscapes. In Mexico City she attended, at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), the master's degree in Sustainability Sciences, expanding her agricultural education with notions of climate change, vulnerability, social exclusion, and obstacles for environmental justice. In Mexico she was a trainee at the Agencia de Servicios a la Comercialización y Desarrollo de Mercados Agropecuarios (ASERCA), also collaborating with the private sector. She has undertaken her professional activity in the Common Agricultural Policy Evaluations, in particular for Rural Development Programs for three focus areas: management of water resources, management of fertilizers and pesticides; soil erosion and soil management; water efficiency in agriculture. During her professional career she has dealt with topics related to the sustainability of the wine sector, collaborating with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Piacenza, il Ministero della Transizione Ecologica and the private sector. Since 2022 you have been a sustainability operator in viticulture within the "VIVA sustainability of viticulture in Italy" program. In recent years, he has accompanied his field activity by a growing interest in the field of research, carrying out consultancy assignments for the Consiglio per la ricerca in agricoltura e l’analisi dell’economia agraria (CREA) and the Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). She is currently a candidate of the PhD Landscape and Environment at the Department of Architecture and Design of " Sapienza Università di Roma".
