Titolo della tesi: Psychological Indications in al-Tawḥīdī’s Writings

This study aims to highlight al-Tawḥīdī’s books and examine them from psychological perspective, showcasing psychological opinions and analysis of the author and two of his major works. In this study I aim to clarify and analyze the psychological indications in the writings of ʾAbū Ḥayyān al-Tawḥīdī in the Tenth century. I aim to reveal the use of psychological language, description and/or implications and compare to modern theories. This study attempts to answer questions such as does al-Tawḥīdī ‘s literature include psychological concepts or meanings? how did al-Tawḥīdī transfer and display the concept of self and psychological activity. In addition, the study attempts to find whether al-Tawḥīdī was just a transmitter of Greek theories and philosophy, or did he elaborate on the theories and provided meaning full discussion? Did he try to study and analyze the self and human behavior? Can we compare these dimensions with theories of modern psychology? And finally did al-Tawḥīdī’s psychology appear in his literature?
