Greta Perna was born in Rome (RM) on 27/02/2002. In 2020, she obtained her high school diploma from the State Scientific High School J.F. Kennedy with a final grade of 100/100 cum laude. During the second year of her Chemistry degree, she was awarded the “Excellence Program” scholarship, which allowed her to carry out an internship on the synthesis of polyester-based nanosystems under the supervision of Prof. Iolanda Francolini. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry on 25/07/2023 from Sapienza University of Rome with a final grade of 110/110 cum laude, defending a literature thesis on antimicrobial peptides under the supervision of Prof. Luciano Galantini. On 21/07/2025, she obtained her Master’s degree in Industrial Chemistry from the same university with a final grade of 110/110 cum laude, defending an experimental thesis entitled “Synthesis and Characterization of Cationic and Amphiphilic Polymers,” carried out under the supervision of Prof. Francolini in the Macromolecules laboratory of the department and at Le Mans Université as part of the Erasmus+ Traineeship program. Since November 2025, she has held a PhD scholarship at the Department of Chemistry of Sapienza University of Rome, where she continues her research activity under the supervision of Prof. Iolanda Francolini.
