PERSONAL STATEMENT

Dr. Giuseppe Caruso is a highly motivated and hardworking medical doctor specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology, currently working as a research fellow at the Division of Gynecologic Oncology of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester (Minnesota, US) under the mentorship of Professor William Cliby. He is also a second-year PhD fellow in “Network Oncology and Precision Medicine” at the Sapienza University of Rome (Italy).
Dr. Caruso collaborates with the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at the European Institution of Oncology (IEO, Milan) and works under the mentorship of Professor Nicoletta Colombo. In July 2023, Dr. Caruso has started a 6-month IJGC Editorial Fellowship under the mentorship of Prof. Pedro T Ramirez. His main areas of interest are gynecologic oncology, precision oncology, and clinical research.
Dr. Caruso is comfortable with time management and organizational skills, team working, problem solving, and decision making. He has excellent communication and social skills built through extensive medical training and education in dealing sensitively with patients, families and caregivers, and through an intensive international volunteer experience abroad coping with fragile patients, poor families and orphanages.

As a Resident, PhD Fellow, and Research Fellow I have authored and co-authored several papers and participated in numerous research projects on different topics in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, particularly in the area of Gynecologic Oncology. My main interest areas are ovarian cancer treatment and personalized oncology.
