Thesis title: L'Archivio storico del comune di Capua: storia, ordinamento e fruizione (secoli XV-XVIII)
The research aims to study the historical vicissitudes of the Historical Archive of the Municipality of Capua between the 15th and 18th centuries, and the development of practices related to the management and retrieval of information through the creation of specific tools such as inventories, repertoires and access keys. Through the examination and study of the ancient writings of the Capua Historical Archive, kept at the Museo Provinciale Campano of Capua, light has been shed on the process of maturation of “archival sensitivity” in one of the most important and well-documented cities in southern Italy. Studied from this perspective, the city archive appears not only as a place for conservation, but also for the elaboration of identity memory.
