Francesco Gagliardi was born in Rome on 08/04/2001. In 2023 he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Sciences at "Sapienza" University of Rome with a score of 110/110 with honours, discussing a literature review thesis on the formation of defective sites in an iron-based Metal-Organic Framework, under the supervision of Professor Paola D'Angelo. During his Bachelor Degree programme he attended and completed a "Honours Programme", performing computational studies on metal oxydes-water interfaces under the supervision of Professor Paola D'Angelo.
In July 2025 he obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry (Inorganic-Physical Chemistry track) with a score of 110/110 with honours, discussing an experimental thesis entitled "Application of MOFs for the conversion of methane to methanol", under the supervision of Professor Paola D'Angelo.
Since 01/11/2025 he is the winner of a PhD scholarship and is currently working under the supervision of Professor Paola D'Angelo.
