Thesis title: Nuove tecnologie per una formazione ambientale e interculturale attraverso lo sviluppo di comunità di costruzione collaborativa: ItaliAndes
This doctoral thesis adopts an interdisciplinary approach, integrating disciplines such as critical pedagogy, digital education, material ecocriticism, and thematic criticism.
These perspectives have informed the development of the ItaliAndes e-learning platform (https://italiandes.altervista.org/; password: K0raz0n!), which explores parallel socio-ecological issues in Italy and the Andean region through a transmedia framework. The platform also serves as a nexus for intercultural dialogue among learners and fosters collaboration between academic and non-academic communities.
Following a comprehensive review of the aforementioned disciplines, the thesis deconstructs and synthesizes these frameworks to propose an alternative research model. This model, designated "tentacular-ecocritical," emerges from a dialogue between Western and non-Western research paradigms. It is subsequently applied to five literary works from Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, which constitute the primary corpus of this study.
