Francesco Camattini holds a degree in Law, which he obtained in 1994. A conscientious objector, he served as the director of conscientious objectors engaged in civil service for the Consorzio Solidarietà Sociale of Parma. He taught Law and Economics in secondary schools for about twenty-five years, while simultaneously managing legal and tax consulting at the Volunteer Services Center of Parma, now CSV Emilia (serving non-profit organizations in the region and province). At the same time, he practiced law.
He served as the president—and remains a member—of the Kwa Dunia association, which focuses on migration and intercultural education. Currently, he directs the choir of the Intercultural Center of Parma. Since 2018, he has held the role of School Principal.
He has published "La terra delle donne e degli uomini integri" (Infinito Edizioni, 2015), a theatrical piece performed by Fondazione Teatro Due in Parma with second-generation youth, freely inspired by the life and speeches of Thomas Sankara. In 2023, he published the book "Destinazione Pace" with MUP, a multi-authored volume curated by Novita Amadei, with contributions from prominent figures such as Don Luigi Ciotti, Father Alex Zanotelli, Cecilia Gola Strada, Aluisi Tosolini, and Marco Deriu.
