Titolo della tesi: Crime-Terror Nexus: an Inquiry
The Thesis is aimed at showing at both quantitative and qualitative level the so called "crime-terror nexus". After a literature review, the thesis shows how from raw interpol data it has been possible to collect and analize the criminal background of a jihadist community at global level. The thesis has used different methodologies to show the nexus and highlight correlations. Network Analysis shows patterns in a jihadist community and analyzes crimes of different geographical clusters. A Key Threat Indicator has been developed in order to better address the targeting procedures at law enforcement and intelligence level. Finally, the thesis also includes the digital domain in which jihadists prosper and gather, including an inquiry on the deep and dark web.
