Federico is a third-year Ph.D. student in Data Science at La Sapienza, currently being supervised by Francesco Bonchi at the CENTAI Institute in Turin. His research focuses on several areas of data science, including Opinion dynamics, Opinion optimization, Socio-demographic attributes inference, Polarization in social media, Echo chamber Detection, Information diffusion, and Probabilistic modeling. As part of his Ph.D. studies, Federico completed an internship at the Theoretical Computer Science lab at KTH, where he was supervised by Prof. Aristides Gionis.
In addition to his current Ph.D. studies, Federico has spent two years as an Undergraduate Research Student and a Junior Research Data Scientist at the ISI Foundation in Turin, further expanding his expertise in the field. Federico obtained his M.Sc. in Physics of Complex Systems at the University of Turin in 2019, where he defended a thesis titled "WoMG: a Word-of-Mouth Cascades Generator." This thesis was supervised by Francesco Bonchi, Corrado Monti, and André Panisson at the CENTAI Institute.
