Research:
Graduated at Sapienza, cum laude, with a thesis on Francisco Pacheco and post graduated in Florence with a thesis on Spadarino, Federica Zalabra has been Director of Palazzo Altieri in Oriolo Romano (VT) and Villa Giustiniani in Bassano Romano (VT) since 2018 and Head of the Department “Promotion of Italian Heritage Abroad” of the Direzione generale Musei since 2015. In service at Mibact since 2010, she has been curator of collections at the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria, Ispettore della Soprintendenza dell’Umbria and Art Historian at the Istituto Centrale per il Restauro. Supervisor of several restoration works, including the Stendardo by Titian at the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, the Tavolette by School of Raphael, now housed at the Embassy of Italy in Lisbon, and the Galleria delle Grottesche in the Villa Farnesina, since 2015 she has been teaching Art History at the Scuola di Alta Formazione of the ICR, following research projects and thesis. She is member of the technical-scientific editorial board of the Bollettino ICR.
