Thesis title: Studio per un'edizione critica del trovatore Bernart de Ventadorn
This work presents a partial critical edition of the poems of Bernart de Ventadorn. Although the documentary evidence available does not allow for a precise reconstruction of Bernart’s poetic activity, the introduction focuses on certain textual and historical elements that may suggest connections between the troubadour and the courts of his time, offering an attempt at contextualization based on the extant sources. The edition is based on an examination of the main manuscript witnesses and, for each poem, is accompanied by a discussion of the textual tradition, as well as a selective critical apparatus, limited to variants of semantic significance. Purely graphic variants are instead recorded on the Lirica Medievale Romanza website. Each text is also provided with an Italian translation and a commentary aimed at clarifying the main interpretative difficulties.
