Emanuele Fidone, he is a Full Professor of ‘Architectural Design’ at the School of Architecture, Università di Catania, he previously taught at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Architecture ‘Aldo Rossi’ (2008-2010). He was born in Modica (Sicily) and studied Architecture at the I.U.A.V. University di Venezia, where he graduated in 1984.He is author of numerous research and works in these fields especially dealing with the relationship between history and project, memory and landscape. He has given lectures, seminars, workshops and visiting critics in various universities and research institutes, including Clemson University, U.S.A.,Genoa (2018), TU Berlin's (2000), Hochschule of München (2011), Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio Switzerland (2008), Escuela Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura in Barcelona (2005), the Unicamp - Campinas Estado de São Paulo Brasil (2017), University IUAV di Venezia (2005, 2007, 2015), Triennale di Milano (2015), Politecnico di Milano (2013, 2014, 2015), Universitat Politècnica de València (2014), Universidade de Évora (2016, 2019), Ordem dos Arquitectos of Lisbon (2019), New York Institute of Tecnology (2019). Since 2018 he has been appointed as member of the Teaching Board of the PhD in Architecture - Theories and Project of the Università La Sapienza di Roma. His work has been published widely as well as exhibited at the 10th Venice Art and Architecture Biennales (2006), the "Sustainab.Italy" exhibition in London (2008) and Singapore (2009), the 12th International Architecture Biennale in Venice (2010), the "Public Ambition" exhibition in Toronto and Ottawa in Canada (2016). His papers and projects are published in Italy and abroad in periodicals and specialized volumes including: Abitare, A10, Bauwelt, Casabella, Domus, Ottagono, Lotus International, R&R. In 2013 he has been awarded of the First International Prize for the Enhancement of the Cultural Heritage, "Italian Heritage Award".
