Research: International and European obligations to protect asylum seekers and their impact on public administration practices and procedures
PhD candidate in "Public, Comparative and International Law", curriculum of "International Order and Human Rights", at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", Department of Political Science (XXXIX cycle, grant DM 118 - Public Administration). The research horizon is embodied in the analysis of international and European obligations to protect asylum seekers.
In 2022 she received her Master's Degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" with a grade of 110/110 cum laude, discussing a thesis in History of Political Thought entitled: "International Criminal Justice and the Case of Sudan," Supervisor Prof. Luca Scuccimarra.
In September 2022, he received the Young America Award for University Talent, a national recognition to outstanding recent graduates of Italian universities awarded by the Italy USA Foundation.
After graduation, she carried out an extracurricular internship for 6 months at the International Affairs Service of the Senate of the Republic conducting research and documentary analysis on issues and subjects relevant to foreign policy, related to the international agenda of the Senate bodies and international current events. She worked closely with the secretariat of the Extraordinary Commission for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights.
In March 2023, she received the award "Excellent Graduate for the academic year 2020/2021" at the Aula Magna of the Rectorate of the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
In 2023, she obtained a second-level master's degree in International Protection of Human Rights "Maria Rita Saulle" at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" with a grade of 110/110 cum laude, discussing a final paper entitled: "Women's participation in peace processes: the case study of Colombia."
She carried out a curricular internship at the Institute of International Legal Studies (ISGI) of the National Research Center (CNR), delving into the issues of international human rights protection, environmental protection and the law of the sea.
She is currently doing an extracurricular internship at the ISGI, continuing the research activities.
