Phd in DOCUMENTATION STUDIES, LINGUISTICS AND LITERATURE

Elena Caterina is a PhD student in “Documentation Studies, Linguistics and Literature”, curriculum “Sciences of books and documents”, at the University of Rome La Sapienza, Department of “Letters and Modern Cultures” (XXXVII PhD program). She studied at Sapienza where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a master's degree in Archival and Library Science, with a thesis on the history of public institutions: she focused in particular on how bureaucracy was represented and narrated in television programmes from the ‘50s to the ‘70s, conducting a research in the Rai Multimedia Catalog. Now she works as archivist for Rai Teche. Before specialising on audiovisual collections, she worked for the Library and Archive of the Opera Nazionale Montessori, the cultural institution that has preserves and diffuses the ideas and works of the scientist and pedagogist Maria Montessori. As a freelance journalist, has collaborated with several magazines and websites specialized in film culture.
