She got a master’s degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies at Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis in Microbiology. She worked at the Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases (Rome) on molecular diagnosis of the human polyomavirus JC’s reactivation and related risk of development of Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy in patients affected by Multiple Sclerosis treated with Natalizumab and others disease-modifying therapies (DMTs). After an internship in the food chemistry laboratory, currently she is a PhD student of the International PhD Program in "Molecular design and characterization for the promotion of health and well-being: from drug to food" at Sapienza University of Rome, under the supervision of Prof. Luisa Mannina. Her research is focused on the chemical characterization of foodstuffs and on the metabolic profile investigation of biological fluids through HPLC and NMR methodologies.
