David Serafini was born in Rome on December 31, 1999. In 2018, he earned his high school diploma with a scientific focus from IIS Pacinotti-Archimede, located at Via Montaione 15, Rome. In December 2022, he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Rome "La Sapienza," defending a theoretical thesis under the supervision of Professor Stefano Materazzi, titled: "DNA from Fingerprints: The Dual Forensic Evidence."
In October 2024, he graduated with a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry from the same university, achieving a grade of 110/110. He defended an experimental thesis, under the supervision of Professor Camilla Montesano, titled: "In Vivo Study of the Metabolic Profile of Nine Synthetic Cannabinoids Using High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry."
Since November 2024, he has been a Ph.D. fellow in Chemical Sciences at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Rome "La Sapienza." His research, under the supervision of Professor Manuel Sergi, focuses on developing innovative analytical methods to study the spread of New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) across the national territory.
