Research: The role of women in restorative practices in cases of gender-based violence. Paths to peace from the microcosm to the macrocosm.
Daniela Susarenco is a Ph.D. Candidate in Peace Studies, curriculum "Restorative Justice, Transitional Justice and Nonviolent Conflict Transformation". She graduated in Law from the University of Trento in 2022, with a thesis dedicated to the theoretical and practical elaboration of restorative justice in Italy and Spain.
She gained field experience during her Universal Civil Service in La Paz, Bolivia, where she was involved in the promotion of restorative practices in women's and young adult prison centers. Later, she participated in the Civil Peace Corps in Romania, working on peacebuilding projects with the Ukrainian community in Cluj Napoca.
She completed the post-graduate course "Women, Peace and Mediation" at La Sapienza University of Rome, presenting a thesis entitled "Synergies between the DPS and GPS agendas: towards an intergenerational model of the Italian NAP".
