CHIARA VERGA PhD Student PhD program:: XXXV email: chiara.verga@uniroma1.it building: IRCCS Fondazione Santa Lucia room: Laboratorio di Neuroimmagini tutor: Prof Federico Giove supervisor: Prof Salvatore Maria Aglioti co-tutor: Dott.ssa Sara Di Marco Research: Vicarious tactile experiences on an embodied avatar: neurofunctional evidences for a vicarious somatosensory tactile homunculus During my previous research experiences I investigated Joint Actions from both a behavioural and a neurofunctional perspective. In particular, I examined how neurocognitive processes involved in actions observation and execution are modulated by context’s interactivity. My current research project is aimed to investigate the neurocognitive processes of social and intimate touch combining Virtual Reality and fMRI.
