Research: Religious Places and Cultural Heritage: Orthodox Churches and Mosques as Spaces of Peace and Memory

PhD Candidate in Peace Studies at Sapienza University of Rome and the University “G. d'Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara, Curriculum 2: "Identities, Memories, Religions, and Peace.” In June 2021, she graduated with honors with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy (L-5) from Roma Tre University, with a thesis in the History of Religions. In March 2024, she obtained her Master’s degree with honors in History and Society (LM-84) from the same university, with a thesis in Religions and Urban Spaces, entitled "Religious Places in the Urban Space: Orthodox Churches in the Historic Center of Turin."During her studies, she was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Level I Master’s Degree in Religious Studies and Intercultural Mediation at the University of Turin. She completed the program in October 2024, graduating with honors with a thesis in the History of Religions entitled "Religious Heritage in Turin: A Plural Ecomuseum for the Enhancement of Spaces of Diversity."During the master's program, from December to May 2024, she collaborated on the project "Religions and Urban Spaces: Architecture for Interreligious Dialogue," contributing to the exhibition RITUALS/MATERIALS, dedicated to the House of One, a multi-faith building under construction in Berlin, designed by the architectural firm Kuehn Malvezzi.Furthermore, from September to December 2024, she worked as an ethnographic researcher within the project "Cultural and Religious Heritage in Turin: Protecting Spaces of Diversity," funded by the City of Turin and promoted by the Fondazione Benvenuti in Italia. The project focused on exploring the cultural and religious heritage of the worship spaces of various religious communities in Turin. The aim was to develop new methodologies for the protection of these spaces while promoting a culture of peace, interreligious and intercultural dialogue, and contributing to social cohesion and the enhancement of religious diversity in the urban context.
